Northern Line
The decision to walk the Northern line from north to south was based on altitude. High Barnet, as its name suggests, is at the top of a hill, so we'd rather be starting there than trying to climb it at the end of a long day.
We follow the Dollis Valley Greenwalk along the brook to Totteridge & Whetstone.
The end of the line, and of the longest continuous tunnel on the network. Seventeen and a half miles (27.8km) north via Bank the track emerges into daylight at East Finchley.
